The Land of Nevers

As the girls and I left for school this morning, the moon was out, in all her waning goodness.

To which Re-Pete said
"Look, Mommy, The moon is following us"

To which Mommy started crying.

See, she's the youngest, and I've entered The Land of Nevers.

Every time she does something remarkable- figures out something (like the moon), learns something (how to spell a word with out my help), outgrows something(those darling shoes) I realize that I will never be here again.

And that breaks my heart.

It's a good thing I didn't know parenting would be this heart wrenching, I might have chickened out.

Yeah. Parenting is NOT for cowards.

So sweet, though...

Oy, and with a science teacher for a Mommy, I predict there's gonna be a whole lot of figuring stuff...good luck!

I was thrilled when I realized the Moon was following me...I thought it singled me out and wanted to be friends with me.
