growing up

Pete is turning 11 soon. I've been wondering whether or not to get the Gardisil vaccine. The results of the big study they did came out recently. I had forgotten to keep an eye out for it, and it came out mid-September. I found it earlier and have been deciphering for the last hour or so. 1% of the girls that received the vaccine developed some sort of arthritis. 1% of the girls that got the placebo also got some sort of arthritis. If I read right on another site, it's because of the aluminum in the shot.

1%. Wow. That seems like a lot. I had hoped that my fears would be vanquished. Such is not the case. I guess I need to talk to our doctor...
