What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

I'm taking a class on human development and one of the assignments is to create a poster of some aspect of life. My theme is "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger".
I thought about asking my students to anonymously write the best and worst thing that ever happened to them put some of them on the paper.

So tell me, what's the best and worst thing that ever happened to you?

The best thing? The day my daughter contacted me -- no, wait! The first time I clapped eyes on her.

The worst? Losing the Princess Mom (second only to losing Darling Daddy) and becoming and orphan at age 50.

The best thing is kind of hard. I'd have to say graduating from Highschool and getting the heck away from the tormentors that I went to school with.

The worst - my Dad getting brain tumors and dying three and a half years ago. He was a great guy.

I am not surprised about the death of a parent being the hardest thing ever- it's the same for me. Today is my mother's birthday, so it's hard to be cheerful.

Best thing? Hands down- meeting my husband.

Navy boot camp.

The answer to both.
