Comfort foods

One of the rewards I got growing up whenever I did something my parents were proud of was a special meal. Spaghetti and clam sauce was a personal favorite. My mother would take a couple of can of clams, some extra clam juice, olive oil and extra spices and simmer it for a good bit.
I still love making it.

I made it for dinner tonight and this time I added a big spoon of pesto to the mix to give it some more punch. Hmmmm, tasty.

Might have seconds....
