Red-heads

I have a thing for red-heads. And I just saw a really good-looking one in my back yard! Okay, it's a red-headed woodpecker. I think. It was about the size of a duck! But the head head was bright, bright red and the back was black with some white on it. It was on the ground pecking at a log.

In other news, I think out mourning dove pair has abandoned their nest on the back porch. They have two little eggs in it... poor babies.
